How do you feel about the ambitions in the New Development theme of the plan?
Are you supportive of new developments including lower carbon district heating systems?
How do you feel about new developments having community green spaces where food could be grown?
It's a good idea

I believe this is an area that RBG can take the opportunity to achieve more positive value .I am not certain if the carbon footprint in the process of building is accounted for. Taking advantage of recycling and the concept of the Circular Economy, there is huge opportunity ,through using "planning conditions" ,to ask builders to refrain from disposing re-usable residual materials at the end of a project, but to offer such materials to specialist charitable entities (such to be set up for remarketing residue materials) .
Hold private developers to the same high standards as the council with rigorous ‘sag’ testing and clear compensation/fine for any failures to meet those standards
It's a shame the plan does not mention anything about green roofs, given their benefit to temperature control in hot summers.
There is also no mention that housing needs to ensure secure spaces for bicycles and allowing for increased biodiversity.
